movie and a lost shoe?

ok, so tonight a girl from down the street invited me to go see The Proposal with her and another girl, and I am sooo glad that I went. That has got to be one of the FUNNIEST movies I have EVER seen in my entire life! Seriously!!! I laughed until I cried sooo many times, it was unreal! I LOVED it. It was a great, funny lighthearted movie that everyone should see. I wish Adam could have gone to see it with me also, because I think even he would have liked it. :)
I also realized why my car has been having trouble starting lately. I have been just thinking that the battery is going down, and that it was totally time for a new car. Well, I was wrong. I drove the girls to the movies (like 3 miles, but still) I was worried that my car wasn't going to start once we got done with the movie, but I tried not to let it bother me during the movie, so when it was over we went to the car. I got in and said a little prayer, then turned the key and sure enough it made the grinding noise and then it started up..Whew! And then, it hit me-I had the lights on!!!!! No wonder my good ole toyota was having trouble starting-because the driver was stupid and was draining the battery for who knows how long! Seriously, those lights have probably been "on" for at least 2 weeks. I know this because I haven't driven after dark in either car-since like way before my mom left which was a while ago.......I felt super dumb.

The reason why this is funny is that while my mom was here-when we were in LA, I had left the overhead light on and had the same issue with the battery not wanting to start the car-so you would think I would have learned my lesson, but obvioously not!! Now, that I am thinking about this, I bet you that the lights have been on since she and I went to Palm Springs on a Friday night, we were driving back late and I was soooo tired-and I bet I just left them on. hmmmm....... Funny!!

I washed both our cars today and got sunburned, watered my dying plants that can't tolerate the desert weather and cleaned up inside. My dishwasher isn't working properly, but I figured that since I have called housing for SOO many things the past few weeks I would give them a break for 1 or 2, and I would just handwash since its only me and I don't produce that many dirty dishes.

This weekend I thought I was going to be really bored, but it turned out that I totally wasn't. I had a great time just being around the house, and hanging out with Trista and baby L on Saturday. I am actually realizing that I like being at home and doing nothing. Now, don't get me wrong I LOVE to go places and see things-so by the time Adam gets home I will probably be ready to go EVERYWHERE and be sick of this place, but for right now I am totally content.

Oh, and I forgot the best part about the movie theater-it was $1.00 to see the movie AND you get a free drink!! How crazy is that? ONE dollar AND a drink!? I am like totally amazed that they can do that. That tells you that movie theaters are totally and completely making a HUGE profit and we all need to go into the theater business! ;)

Funny Story:

This is my dog, sweet, fluffy, cuddly Cooper

These are my favorite flip flops that are totally worn in but not in that too worn in kind of way when your foot slides though to the edge of the shoe-the PERFECT kind of worn in. I got these shoes when I work at Abercrombie and these are the shoes that made me like flip flops! Yes, I know I can not believe that I didn't like flip flops until a few years ago either. My sister, Katie would ALWAYS "borrow" these shoes from me and I would have to fight her to get them back (and of course, I always won) :)

This is what these shoes look like as of today,

That cute, cuddly little creature got a hold of them and now I CAN NOT even wear them! Little turd-Katie can't steal them anymore and I can't just slide on my favorites anymore....sad day :(

Yeah, I have an old pair of your duds you gave me that the SAME thing happened to. I mean, why in the world would you leave me a flip flop with no flip in it. And also, what does this have to do with a lost shoe?
