Yesterday, I was exactly 16 weeks. I woke up feeling really good! I mean it was a Wednesday which is usually the day that I am ready for the weekend to begin-I don't really like Wednesday I think that would be my least favorite day of the week actually.
Anyways, all morning I sat at my desk thinking about lunch. We went to the store and had gotten sandwhich stuff and I ordered some things from Schwann's so I was anxious to see if they had been dropped off. I left the office just like normal and went towards my car. Now, it has been raining an awful lot here-like a flood as Californians call it, last week we were able to leave work early because of the rain-there are no drainage systems here because it is so flat the water has no where to go so it pools. The front entrance to the base got shut down because the road was flooded with water as was the gate. That meant the only entrance/exit was the one by my house. So, we left work early. In the town right down the road it even snowed! I did see a double rainbow that day also! :) Good Sign. Anyways, back to my story.....
So I am heading towards my car I have my keys in my left hand I had just gotten them out of my purse-when IT happened....I stepped off of the curb with my left foot and landed on the outer edge of my foot HARD instead of landing on the bottom like normal people, and when it OBVIOUSLY would not support my weight I fell off the curb onto my right knee. It HURT SOOOOOOO bad, I layed there for about 5 minutes. No one saw me lying in the parking lot in pain-or maybe, if they did, they were just too scared to come over and talk to me.....WHo knows, what I do know is that I feel like I am going to die. OH and THE worst PART is that on the way down I was RIGHT next to my car so, those keys I had in my hand, yeah I tried to catch myself on the car-mmmhmmm...NOT a good idea because I SCRATCHED the car!!!!! So, when I hit the ground my first thought was OMG is the car scratched and THEN the throbbing started-AFTER of course I had that thought OMG did anyone see me just fall like that?!?!?! AHHHHH!!!!!!!

Talk about ridiculous. So, when I fell on my knee I ripped OPEN my dress pants-I have two pairs of dress pants that fit me really well Black and gray and I was going to use those as long as possible before having to get new ones-well, now I am down to 1 pair! Now, my knee was DRIPPING blood because I skinned it open-EWWW! Then my foot/ankle started to ache and throb and I thought-whoa-this is bad. Then I contemplated HOW I was going to get up-finally I hoisted myself up and got into the car, trying to not cry because my foot was hurting incredibly bad. I cried little in the car on the way home-then cried when I realized I had to go upstairs to let the dog out because he was going crazzy-I sent Adam a picture of my bloody knee and he called me freaking out-so of course I cried AGAIN! When I went back to work my face was splotchy OF COURSE! UGH! While at work it throbbed and ached-I told my friends about it, and we all laughed-I don't think they knew how much pain I was in until I showed them my bloody knee, my swollen ankle/foot and my bloody toe, and the open would on my hand-where apparently a rock jabbed into it......

After lunch, I drug myself upstairs to put Coop up and went to go to my car, when I realied it was raining outside AGAIN! I SERIOUSLY conteplated staying at home for the remainder of the day, but didnt do it. :(

After talking to some friends they have informed me that pregnancy makes your ligaments loose-and can cause you fall and do crazy things! UGH! no one told me about these hazards!

In other news, This is what my belly looks like now-16 weeks Wednesday.
It's funny, because I feel like I look HUGE here but I really don't look that big. I don't know what it is? oh well. We got the crib and bedding and the dresser and hutch a few weekends ago and we have it in the room, take a look:

WE decided to go with a neutral theme so we could reuse it AND so we could have it all together, before Adam leaves.
We are super excited about this weekend- we are going to do a 3d/4d ultrasound and they should be able to tell the gender! :) EEEk! I am getting mixed feelings but-I think its a boy. Either way I do not care as long as he/she is healthy! :)
We went to the doctor this week and everything looked good! Heartbeat was 148-strong and steady and we are on track. We scheduled the anatomy ultrasound for March 4 -RIGHT before Adam is scheduled to leave-so it is good that he will be able to go to that with me!

The reason you fell is because you stepped off with you left foot... Being right handed myself I cannot even imagine stepping off of a curb onto my left foot. It is just impossible. How about you try to think things through before you start trying to tackle those curbs.
Oh yeah, and please don't lay in anymore parking lots for 5 minutes. I am actually really embarrassed for you. Do you need me to get you a life alert button and a gold chain to hang it on too?
HAHAHAHAHHAHAA to the Life Alert comment!!! Do you have a What to Expect book? It talks about the ligament things. LOVE your furniture! I'm so jealous that you're all ready. What does the bedding look like??
