ok, so we stayed at the BOQ last night and we will be able to stay here again tonight! yay! It was super nice-MUCH better than the Motel 6. Now, tomorrow night we will be back at the Motel 6 I'm sure. I left my poor little baby at my parent's house, and had I known that he could stay several places here with us, I would have just brought him :(
He loves being with my parent's dogs though. He is enjoying evey minute of having little Tommy to play with. He just likes to antagonize Peaches. Its ok, she needs some entertainment in her old age. ;)
We went to the housing office this morning and I was feeling really good about it. I just had one of those really good feelings like something super good was going to happen-like-they would say hey, we have a house available right now for you! Go ahead and move in at the end of this week. Oh, and wait it even looks like it has a two car garage! WOW! That was my perfect plan for today.
It didn't exactly go that way
We went in with all the proper paperwork, and sat in the very full waiting room. We only had to wait a few minutes before they called us to the back to speak with our "counselor". We got into her office which was very nice and clean. She was a very friendly woman who was wearing a 'rug' as she called it, or a fuzzy coat in other words. She took all our information, entered it into the computer, checked "credentials" which I have no idea what that means but it sounds important, and said everything looked "great!". At this point I was thinking, "man, this is going perfect-my dream is coming together!" and then she left the room, to "check" something. Now, in my dream this would be the part where she leaves to check and make sure she read the computer right that there was a house already available for us-just waiting there! The reality of the situation didnt happen quite like my dream. She came back and had a small post-it note, on which dates were written. Now, these dates could have been like mid-June dates from which time we would be called and notified a house was ready for us. Instead, these dates ranged from June 9-July 9 . She said this was our "approximate" wait times. So, basically a month!
I was heart broken. I am sick and tired of eating fast food, and snacks and things that do not require refrigeration, freezing or microwave, stove preparation. I am needing some Kraft Macaroni & Cheese or a Grilled Cheese, and I KNOW Adam needs some Tyson dinosaur chicken ;). Because staying at the Motel 6, there is no Microwave or fridge. Now, if we want to pay $180 a night (before tax) and stay at the Holiday Inn with a fridge and microwave then we can go do that, but I would obviously rather stay at Motel 6 for $63.00.
Now, that my dream for the day has been broken, I am just going to sit here, in this SUPER nice room and enjoy the tv and internet all day, until Adam comes home at the end of the day.
BREAK (I got sidetracked doing something!)
Ok, Adam came home and we went to the hospital to get all my records correct! That was fun. No really it was, It was not hard at all. The people were super nice and I got all the information in to them.
So, Adam came back to to the BOQ to get some other paper work and the phone rings! Its the housing office! They tell him that we can pick up our new address on the 19th and actually move-in on the 26th!! yay! We are both just elated. So, now we have a specific date!
A wonderful note to end on!
