Sunday

I got a call from Adam this morning at 12 AM! I always love it when he calls me-even if it is in the middle of the night.....which it usually is, the time difference is about 11.5 hours ahead. At first when he called it was a horrible connection-so bad that I couldn't even make out anything other than grumbling noises. SOmetimes when I do get a phone call, all I can hear it what sounds like someone running in the backgound-just stomping down a long hallway or something-WEIRD.

So, we got a graduation announcement in the mail today-a High School graduation announcement. Ordinarily, I would not even think anything about it, but....it says 2010 on it-Class of 2010. I was the class of 2003-holy moly I am OLD! 7 years ago I graduated high school-My 10 year reunion will be coming up soon! Whoa! That is even scarier. Man! Time is flying by.

There were several homecomings this week and it makes me sad seeing all the signs and the people so anxious and excited to get to be reunited with their loved ones. It makes me sad that it's not Adam, it makes me sad that I still have 5 more months of this and I am also sad because it sucks. On the other hand, I am soo happy for them to be reuniting with their loved ones. That moment-that homecoming moment must be something that can not be explained or even anticipated because you just never know how you will feel. I already know that I will cry-I will probably be one big red faced tear the whole time and the pictures will turn out sorry because of my red face...oh well! :) I am already in preparation for that! haha!!

I went to Palm Springs today for lunch with a friend, Trista that I met in Virginia. She is super sweet and her daughter, Lillian, came with us-she will be 1 in a few weeks and is such a good baby! We were in Wal-Mart and this man kept calling her, 'him and he'. It's funny too because Trista said that she always puts headbands and bows on her because otherwise, people can not tell she is a girl-she is pretty bald at this point-she does have a light coating of hair-but nothing that screams "I am a girl!". Poor Trista just went along with it. I guess you just don't even try to correct them. The thing about it was that she had on pink jelly shoes-so you would think that the man would notice that-but I guess not. We ate a Rubio's. It is a mexican fast food style restaurant. They have really good fish tacos! :) I used to look a fish tacos and think "gross" but now that I am in California and I know how they are supposed to taste, I really like them! :) Well, and I love fish-so that helps! :) Speaking of fish-Red Lobster sounds super yummy :)

I just got the news that a friend from Texas will be coming to see me in mid-May so that is exciting! It will give me something to look forward too! She will be here in two weekends, and I am excited! It will be kind of a half way mark for when my mom and katie will be arriving here. I can't wait to have some company, although being alone isn't all that bad-I can stay in my pajamas all day if I want to and nobody will say anything to me. :)

I did sweep the grass and leaves out of the garage this morning and swept off the backporch and I watered the grass too! I am trying to get the grass looking green again and not dead, dry and brittle anymore.

I think next weekend I will be going to the outlets down the hill-near Palm Springs and checking out the Kate Spade purse I liked back before I went to Texas and deciding if I want it or the Michael Kors in the exchange. The thing about the Kate Spade is that it had a matching wallet, the Michael Kors-I did not see one to match it...but it could be just because I didn't look hard enough. the Kate Spade was white which I think would look gorgeous for summer time-I have always wanted a nice pretty white purse. The Michael Kors is brown. I can check it out and think about it this week.

Since I had so much for lunch I am thinking that i will still be really full since I am still now-Maybe a movie and some popcorn later? :) I have been thinking about pop corn a lot lately haha!
