I was in Avery's room-putting some things away, I looked up and her mobile was swaying profusely back and forth and I thought "that is weird"-thenI looked over and the blinds were swinging and all the clothes in her closet were swinging back and forth. I stood up and thought I had stood up too fast because I was swaying BIG time back and forth-I grabbed the crib and it kept going-I looked out in the hallway, and I had a candle plugged in-it had turned over and the wax had fallen out! As I stood there, I could feel the house swaying like the wind was blowing inside. At first, I was like "no, it wasn't an earthquake...." but then I texted a friend and sure enough-it was an earthquake!! I was always wanting to feel one and now I have. Poor Adam, he will be so sad that he wasn't here and able to experience it with me. Apparently, there have been several aftershocks too, I havent felt any of those yet but I did feel the initial shake. Cooper was barking before the earthquake, but I don't know if he heard someone outside or he had that "dog sense"-then while we were shaking he was just looking around.
Yesterday, I went to Victoria Gardens-a really nice area in S California-all outdoor shops and restaurants-I got to eat at On the Border! that was the highlight of my trip. Well, that and the fact that I was able to actually shop in a GAP Maternity store. I bought a pair of jeans-on sale and a top-on sale and a cute little baby outfit (I cant get out of any baby store without something) ;) I also went to Carter's (I had a couple of coupons for them too-and got some cute outfits). Overall, it was a fun time for us.
I woke up super early this morning-to take my friend Jessica to the airport. She is going back home for a funeral :( and I took her to Palm Springs. I took advantage of the opportunity and stopped and shopped at a very empty Wal-Mart. I got a bunch of goodies and even some smoothie mixes that I am super excited about! I stopped at Panera Bread for breakfast and it was YUMMY!!!
I can't believe that I am 25 and a half weeks pregnant! It is going by pretty quick! I have been trying to send Adam pictures of everything so he can see it-and my growing belly. I am going back to the doctor on Thursday for the glucose test.
I am getting very excited to be going home too. Less than 2 weeks for that trip also! :) Cooper is going with me, I need to get out his "travel bag" and start practicing putting him in it. I am curious how he will do in there-I need to remember to take some snacks for him in case he starts getting antsy. I am excited to see my friends and family at my baby shower also! That will be lots of fun. I was hoping to find a cute dress to wear to it-but I will just have to wait until I go home to find something.
I am looking at my closet, realizing that I need to buy some new shoes. I need some flat, comfy long term walking shoes-that still look cute! I am thinking cute birkenstocks, and some cute dressy looking flip flop sandals. I need to buy some new Sperry's also. It would be awesome if Racquet and Jog had a sidewalk sale while I was home. I know that Jon Hart will be having a trunk show-so I may have to order Avery her first Jon Hart stuff.
These come in black, brown and white-I may have to order them.... I found some cuties on the Sperry TopSider website too.....I am definitely considering it.... :)
