Impatiently waiting

ahhhhh Friday!! You could not have come any sooner.

I have been thinking today (because I am off work) about last Easter weekend and where Adam and I were. I was working on Good Friday, Adam was off. We went over to Adam's brother Steven's house for Easter to celebrate with that side of the family. It makes me sad to think about what everyone will be doing this weekend in Tyler without us. :(

I miss the Tyler Broadway Square Mall.

I used to think about how crummy this mall was and how much I hated it. It was only what 5 miles from my house? Very close, Had all the right stores and had a Dillards!

BUT you don't realize how lucky you are until you are gone away from all of these things you think you hate. This is the nearest mall to my house (14 miles) Spotsylvania Mall

yep, this is it. Yucky. It has NO good stores.

Its not really THAT big of a deal, I am just trying to say that I am sad at the things I used to say I hated, because now that I am not home anymore I miss them.

ANYWAYS

I have been very patiently waiting to learn what our duty station will be. Let me break it down. ALL next week is MOUT which means the ONLY day he could be told a duty station would be on Friday! And then Monday the 20th is the day we have to tell TMO what day to move us out! I just KNEW we would find out yesterday or today, and as of 11 this morning...NOTHING!!

I am trying to remain calm. After everything that has happened this week, I feel like I am going to be completely shocked at the duty station we get. I think it is God's way of preparing me for the place we go. So, I am starting to freak myself out. At the beginning of the week (before everything) I was so unconcerned with duty stations, now I am freaking.

Honestly, I don't care where we go, there are good and bad things about every place.

E Coast

Good

Close to my family in GA, calm atmosphere, closest place to Texas we could go, easily take our cars, and belongings, good place for a family, could live off base and buy a house

Bad

Same atmosphere as Virginia, still E Coast, harder for me to find a job because of location

W Coast

Good

Never been there before, Totally new environment, Close to Las Vegas, Skiing in the mountains, anything you could want to do or see

Bad

further from TX, definitely would have to live on base because housing so expensive, possibility of getting 29 Palms-desert, expensive cost of living

Hawaii/Overseas

Good

Never been there before, be at the beach ALL the time, warm climate, sunny, pleasant weather, great vacation spot for family to come and visit

Bad

Expensive plane tickets, FAR from home, culture shock, island fever, can only take one car to Hawaii $1,000 to ship another car-out-of-pocket, Overseas can't take either car because of the drive on the other side of the road factor.

SOOO as you can see-there are pros and cons to everywhere and I will be happy just to know where we will be going in a few weeks!
