Tuesday we had "planned" to go to Georgetown and look around at the uniqe shops, eat lunch and come back home (I was off work). BUT, we got home SOO late Monday night (and I have been SUPER tired!) that we woke up on Tuesday morning and debated wether we should go or not-we decided against it, because we were just too sleepy. We played with Cooper, and watched a little tv, we then decided to go to Sam's, and the base. We got stuff to make Chicken Tortilla Soup-(It was COLD and yucky ALL day) AND my momma brought us tortillas from Mercados-the BEST MEXICAN food EVERRR! Adam got home around 8 and we ate and went to bed.
Wenesday I had to work ALLL day from 8:30 - 7:15! I know it sucked!! My momma stayed here and bonded with Cooper and made dinner for us-Adam's request-Cube Steak, Cornbread, Macaroni and Cheese (homemade of course) and Strawberry shortcake for dessert! yum yum!!
Thursday, I was off work again and this was our BIG day! We woke up at 6:30 and got ready to leave and left around 8:30 for.....you guessed it Hershey, PA!!! yay I was finally going to go to the place I have been wanting to go to for forever!! So, was SAT in traffic up and around DC on 95! :( which slowed our schedule. We drove right through Gettysburg and I figured I better stop and show my momma the pretty views I mean how often do you get the opportunity to go there? ps I WANT to go to that ski slope in the background!!!
After Gettysburg, it took about 40 min and we arrived to our desination of HERSHEY!! It was really fun and nice I got a big ole piece of chocolate pie and had a baked potato for lunch!
Here we are on the "ride" touring the factory! :)
After Hershey, we dove another 30 minutes to Amish country Lancaster, Bird-In-Hand and Intercourse, PA!! It was awesome, it was so much fun to see the Amish driving their buggies and riding their scooters down the road! The whole area was so peaceful and nice I really liked it. It was very COLD while we were there which was a total change from Wednesday when it got pretty warm.
They just pull their "buggy" right up to he gas stations hehe! AND it smells like horse poop all over the place! I wonder why?!? ;)
Here is an Amish boy on his tractor with 9 horses!!!! I have no clue what all the birds were doing-eating the seeds maybe?
He had a little scooter!
We then headed out of PA on the LONG journey back home through B'more into DC and down to big Stafford! On the way I did stop at the mall in Towson, MD (very nice mall) and got this totally cute white peacoat/blazer from Banana Republic regularly $175 for only $33! I LOVEEE a good deal! I wanted to stop at the mall to look for a dress to wear to my cousins babys shower on the 28 and for a wedding I am going to in GA in April. Oh well at least I found something cute, right? We made it home right at midnight and said goodnight after a LONG and FUN day!
Friday morning we woke up to this
Strange, I know I did have to work today from 8:30-2:00pm so my momma went with me because there are a TON of places by my work she could look in, she even came a picked me up on my lunch break to eat-we went to Noodles and Co. it was super yummy! She LOVED to Super Target. I was sOOOOO tired when I got off work! We came home and relaxed. Poor Adam didnt get home until 7:30, we ate dinner and all went to bed.
Saturday, I had to work from 9-2, so we let Adam sleep in this morning and my mom went with me again, down to my work. She hung out again looking around and once I got off Adam met us down there and we ate lunch at Red Robin-our FAV place. (by the way it has rained ALL day today and been VERY cold) After lunch we went to Dick's and stayed there for a few hours just looking around, Adam had to get some stuff for his "camping" experience next week and then he got a few shirts-I found some totally cute workout gear, but decided I would hold off. We made our usual Saturday rounds to the bike shop and the pet store-where Adam bought some fishies for our tank 8 to be exact! :) Now we are just watching "the Last Samurai" and about to go to sleep.
We will be making the airport run tomorrow :( It has been a FUN week!
