Next, I paid rent and made my way up to my house, again on the way I snapped this photo because I wanted to show everyone how high the snow plows had plowed up the snow! Its as tall as me!!
So now everyone knows that I am obviously an unfit dog-mom! Here's the story: I thought I would make some yummy cinnamon bread with my new KitchenAid BEAUTIFUL mixer. I was getting the ingredients out of the pantry and little goober was just sitting in his normal spot, on the carpet right at the entrance into the kitchen before the tile starts, like usual just watching me. I kind of forgot about him (this is where I went wrong) for about 30 min. Once I realized how long it had been and how I hadn't seen him in a good while, I come into the living room and there he was. Standing over this dark chocolate chocolate bar-that I might add, was MINE, just licking it! ughhhh!!! I screamed at him and stole it up, luckily, for him he didn't try to snap at me or anything like that. I would have really been mad then. But no, he just runs off not even caring that he has just ruined my yummy chocolate bar that I was saving for a snack for a rainy day! The little turd. So, at first I am like "whatever" dogs eat chocolate ALL the time, "why should I be worried" but then I start thinking and doing some Internet research and the words that keep recurring are, "dead" "vomit" "diarrhea" "vet" "immediately". I kind of start freaking, so I called my sister who knows "everything" about animals and she does some research all the while the little turd is just sleeping stretched out in the sun-enjoying his mid-afternoon snack. Katie says she will ask Chris, he comes in at that instant, how convenient, right? So, he says nah, not a big deal-don't even worry about it! Now, I am like ok-no big deal! Whew! I am relieved. Now how should I explain this to Adam...... ?!?!
So,next we went outside to build ourselves a snowman for Adam!! It was really harder than I thought it would be. This is what I accomplished:
Here's the deal: crackers for buttons, noodles for a smile, a fish stick for a nose and "starberries" for eyes! who wouldn't LOVE this snowman!?
So, my cinnamon bread is cooking in the oven and smells awesome!! And when I say awesome I mean it-cinnamon smells so good when its cooking! I think Adam will like it too.
Oh, and to update on Cooper - poor thing, I think the sugar is affecting him now, because he is running around in circles, lunging at the glass back door and barking his head off-so needless to say he has slightly more energy than he usually does in the afternoon. I am hoping he calms down soon-I'm starting to go nuts!
Adam should be home VERY soon! and I am thinking we will have lasagna and for dessert-the yummy cinnamon bread!!! mmmmmm good!!
