So today I am at work. I usually wear my hair down which means my bangs get in my way every once in a while. I have to brush them out of my eyes and across my forehead, over behind my ear. Every time I would graze my hand over my forehead it hurt! I kept thinking, "ok why is my head hurting?" What had I done that I didn't remember that would cause it to hurt that bad. It was just tender, so I started thinking maybe I am getting a pimple on my forehead? hmmm....I was going to have to investigate this. I took a tip to the bathroom and that was definitely not it, because you can tell when something is brewing under your skin. So now I was back to square one. What had I done?!
Let me rewind-about 8 hours earlier. Adam and I got up this morning at 3:45 because he had to be on base by 5 and I was going to the spin class at 6am on base. THIS is where this story gets good. So, got up with him didn't seem very tired, but as soon as I got to the gym I suddenly got REALLY sleepy. I finished the hour long workout perfectly fine. There was probably 12 people in the room, total so not too much of an audience for my clumsiness. So as I am dismounting the bike, which by the way, I have done hundreds maybe even thousands of times over the years, we go into a leg stretch and as I am leaning over my foot slips away from my locking shoes and my foot hits the ground -luckily I did catch myself and I thought that was the end of it! Not so Lucky for me, as I am looking around to see if anyone saw me stumble, the instructor leads us into a leg stretch requiring us to lean over our legs and touch the ground. (As I am leaning over, bc keep in mind, I practically just fell onto the ground off the bike) I hit my FOREHEAD on the handlebars!!!! Right above my left eye-ok so How I forgot this SMALL detail while I was at work I have no clue. What I do know is that I had to think extremely hard to figure out I had bonked my head up there in front of everyone. I am hoping that those people in the class were all as tired as me and didn't really pay attention to my early morning shenanigans in the spin room.

I don't think I can go back into the classroom without laughing, this has got to be one of the things I will remember about this base and this town and being in Virginia!
